The Van Buren was developed in 2017 and completed in Fall 2018 by Chicago locals, and Greek-owned, Loukas Development. Brothers, Aristithis and Dino took the reins to rebuild a classic corner where their father grew up, creating 148 apartments featuring studios and convertibles, one and two bedrooms. It was a very special, nostalgic project for the Loukas family, that would often frequent these previous Greek Staples.
The Loop meets West Loop right here in this pocket of Greek restaurants lining South Halsted Street. At the very edge, you’ll find the Van Buren, rising 12 stories above Giordano’s Pizza and the Eisenhower Expressway, just one block from the CTA Blue line.
This boutique property brings a refreshing touch to the neighborhood with clean modern line details both inside and out … and breathtaking city skyline views from the rooftop pool!
Situated just a 6-block stroll from Restaurant Row, you have the best of both worlds - all of your classic Greek favorites as well as the latest Top Chef restaurant hotspots, like Girl and the Goat and Au Cheval! Did you know Randolph Street features more Michelin award-winners than any other city?! No wonder many argue Chicago to be the culinary mecca of the country.
